Engagement Season

It seems like EVERYONE is getting married, apart from you and me.

As a twenty-something year old you can only imagine the amount of friends, acquaintances and work colleagues I have getting engaged (and married) at the moment and quite rightly so-it is ‘engagement season’ after all.

When is engagement season?

It’s a real thing, just like wedding season became a thing. There’s no ignoring the statistics. Research shows that most engagements happen between Thanksgiving (The last Thursday in November) and Valentines Day, which means at the moment, we’re in peak season. With that, 36% of jewelry sales also happen between October and December. So, chances are, if they’re going to propose that sparkle could be hiding somewhere safe right now…!!!

I’m sure you’ve seen the signs:

Whether it’s a Facebook close up of the new sparkly addition or the status change from in-a-relationship to engaged.

Your newsfeed is now filled with grand gesture (aww!) proposal videos.

There’s a sudden influx of flowers, jewellery and honeymoon adverts on tv.

You’ve gone from having lots of nights out and girls/lads holiday to suddenly attending lots of engagement parties and weddings.

And it’s not just your friends that are amongst the trend lots of celebrities are getting hitched too: Kim and Kanye, Scarlett Johansson, Lauren Conrad, Vanessa Carlton and Olivia Palermo.

If you aren’t engaged or even in a relationship…

Don’t panic!

Don’t feel like you’re the only one not getting engaged. You’re

Enjoy yourself: live in the moment, travel, do things you’ve never done before, meet new people, make new friends, have a lot of laughs. You’ll never regret the things that make you happy now.

If you are engaged…

This is such an exciting time for you and your fiancé, enjoy it. Don’t feel you need to get hitched right away spend some time deciding what you want from your big day, together.

There is so much choice for your big day: The type of ceremony, venue, flowers, photographer, caterer, dress, theme, entertainment and much, much more!

Having a Fuze Humanist Celebrant perform your marriage ceremony allows you to marry anywhere in Scotland. Whether it’s a romantic, intimate beach, on a golf course, in your garden, or at the top of a mountain-you can have it (It is legal!).

We can create unique, personal and memorable ceremonies that reflect you both and make sure you get the wedding ceremony you want and deserve.

…and if you’ve found ‘the one’ and you’re just waiting for them to pop the question there’s always Pinterest and Instagram (thankfully for me I’m in the industry so I have an excuse to like and pin without anyone suspecting a thing).
