It has been great to see the figures for the third quarter of 2015 released by the National Records of Scotland. This period covers the 1st July to the 30th September 2015.

There were 11,434 marriages in the third quarter of the year which is a rise of 1.1% from the same quarter in 2014. From our own experience we do find this time of year the most popular for couples getting married.

Of this total (8,187), 475 of these were same-sex marriages (approx 5.8%). Again this period has also seen a significant decrease in the number of civil partnerships (17).

The third quarter was extremely busy for us with our team of celebrants conducting just over 1% of all marriages in Scotland.

With a team of highly professional and trained celebrants based all over Scotland, we look forward to ensuring you have a unique, personal and memorable wedding day. If you’d like to enquire about any of our celebrants availability please feel free to get in touch with us today. You can submit a contact form or give us a call!

Our celebrants diaries are filling up very fast for this year and next and we even have booking as far away as 2018 so don’t delay!
