This week, we waved goodbye to the heathery glens of Scotland and said HOWDY (in our best American accents) to the bright lights of Las Vegas where we’re attending the world’s biggest wedding show, Wedding MBA.  Here’s why!

Over the past couple of years, we’ve noticed a huge surge in the number of loved-up twosomes from out-with Scotland choosing to say “I do” on Scottish soil.  In fact, recent figures confirm that in 2018 there were 5,907 ‘tourism’ marriages (21% of all marriages) where neither partner was resident in Scotland, and many of these couples came from across the pond in America and Canada.

No wonder, we hear you chant!  After all, Scotland offers some of the most incredible and romantic locations to say “I do” in the world and we think it’s truly magnificent that couples are choosing wild and wondrous Scotland as the country they wish to host them on one of the most significant days of their lives.

With all of the above in mind, we decided we really ought to head over to America to meet wedding suppliers, speak to couples face-to-face and to put Scotland even more firmly on the destination wedding map, so Wedding MBA seemed the perfect choice!

Wedding MBA is America’s biggest wedding convention, where over 5,500 attendees meet with 180 exhibitors (including us) to talk about EVERYTHING the wonderful world of weddings has to offer. It’s such an exciting opportunity for both Team Fuze as well as all of our tried and trusted Scottish suppliers, so we’re hoping to bring back lots of ideas, inspiration and future bookings from America.  Watch this space!
