Top Ten Tech Saviours

Guess what? If you’re between the ages of 24 and 39, you are officially a millennial, and with the average UK Brit tying the knot at the tender age of 31, it seems that we are midway through a wave of millennial marriages.

As with all things millennial, digital technology reigns supreme, and the wedding industry definitely hasn’t escaped becoming millennialised!  In recent years, we’ve noticed that tech developers are transforming the wonderful world of wedding planning with innovative new ideas making the wedding experience as super slick and stress free as possible. So, whether you’ve just started out on your wedding planning adventure or you’re scoring off the very last “to-dos” on your checklist, here are our Team Fuze Top Ten Tech Saviours to help you plan the wedding of your dreams:

1) Inspiration:  Pinterest & Palette Cam

Used together, these two wedding planning beasts will help you put together the wedding of your dreams. Pinterest allows couples to find and save (pin) wedding ideas, while Palette Cam will help you put together the perfect colour scheme!

2) Planning: Bridebook

In the absence of having a real-life wedding planner to put together your wedding day, we really can’t recommend Bridebook enough.  This handy app is pretty much a one stop shop for planning your entire wedding.  From finding your dream wedding venue and keeping you on budget to organising your guestlist, Bridebook has got you covered.  We recommend downloading this beauty of an app as soon as you’re engaged.

3) Website Builder: The Knot

We highly recommend that once you’ve got a date and venue pinned down, you build your very own wedding website.  Wedding websites are a fantastic place to keep guests in the loop where couples can share wedding logistics, nearby accommodation providers, gift lists, ongoing wedding information and so much more.  Believe us, you won’t regret taking the time to create a wedding website as you will inevitably be inundated with questions; this way you can simply direct everybody to your website.  Our favourite wedding website building resource comes courtesy of The Knot.  Not only is it totally free, it’s super user-friendly, has a range of beautiful designs and can even be integrated with The Knot app and planning tools!

4) Invitations: Greenvelope & Minted

So, you’ve set the date, chosen the venue and drawn up the guestlist, so now you’ve got to invite people to join in the fun! Have you considered going fully digital? If you want to save some trees and a fair chunk of your wedding budget, why not head over to Greenvelope and send your guests elegant online invitations created by independent artists.  Every invitation is delivered directly to your guest’s inbox and comes complete with a personalised digital envelope, liner, stamp and RSVP tracking!

If you’re more of a physical kind of couple, check out Minted, the design marketplace with the sole aim of connecting customers with some of the world’s greatest artists to create something completely one-of-a-kind.  Not only is the interface super easy to use, the online templates can be customised to within an inch of their lives!  From card size and paper weight to bespoke hand-drawn map creation, Minted will make sure your guests will receive a super stylish invitation at a very reasonable price!

5) Gift List: The Wedding Shop

If you’re after a gift list like no other, The Wedding Shop is the app for you as it pretty much contains all of the loveliest things you could ever wish to have in one place! Not only will a personal gift guru make the entire shopping experience fun and stress-free, you get to choose gifts from over 450 amazing brands. Couples can also add contributions to their honeymoon, personalised cash funds, experience days or even charity donations. Furthermore, if there’s something you’d like to add to your list that doesn’t feature in The Wedding Shop, you can add up to ten gifts from any other UK retailer to your list, completely free of charge.  Your guests will also love how easy and simple it is to use.

6) Table Planning:  Top Table Planner

If you’ve reached the much-feared table-planning stage, Top Table Planner is there for you. This free and mega user-friendly app allows couples to add tables, manage their guest-list and keep revising their seating plan until they’re happy with who’s sitting where. Once it’s all finished, couples can print out a seating plan and send a copy to their venue to produce a definitive list of attendees and meal choices.

7) Live Streaming: e-there

“If you can’t be there, e-there”.  With the unpredictable nature of the coronavirus outbreak, never has e-there’s strap-line been more relevant!  If you’re having to strip back your guest-list or if you have loved ones that are unable to attend your wedding ceremony or reception, we highly recommend downloading e-there’s amazing self-stream app. Incredibly user-friendly, couples can set the live stream up themselves and share the link with an unlimited number of guests. The platform also enables guests to record ‘e-there moments’ and video messages for the newlyweds which can be compiled in a digital guest book.  Furthermore, couples will receive a recording of their wedding vows to revisit for years to come!

8) Photo Sharing:  WedBox

It’s all well and good having a first-class wedding photographer snapping away on your big day, but if you want to cover every aspect of your special day (gulp!), why not download a photo sharing and video app such as WedBox?  WedBox is a free and easy app which allows couples to see all of the photographs taken by their wedding party and guests with unlimited downloads and the chance to order prints of your favourite photos to treasure forever.

9) Honeymoon:  Tripit

After all the stress of planning your wedding day, the last thing you want to have to do is get into a tizz on your honeymoon! By downloading the Tripit app, you can conveniently forward all your hotel, flight, car rental, restaurant and day trip confirmation emails to Tripit who will then organise all of your bookings into one handy travel itinerary. All your plans and booking references will then be in one place and available on your phone – even when you’re offline!

10) Oh Thanks:  Punkpost

If you want to cheat your thank you cards, Punkpost is the place for you!  Not only can you schedule your cards for up to ONE YEAR in advance, a professional writer will handwrite your message and send you a photo of the finished product to okay. That way, guests will think that you wrote the card yourself! Punkpost employs a community of creatives to give its cards a more boutique feel and these designs are definitely not your average WH Smiths splurge, hence why they’re a little bit pricey!
