Lianne and Adam surprised their guests by tying the knot at Adam’s 30th birthday party

Friday 15th July was the night to celebrate Adam turning 30, but he was also going to leave his party as a married man!! SURPRISE!!!!!
Lianne and Adam worked so hard to keep their wedding ceremony a secret, and by the looks on everyone’s faces that night, I think it’s safe to say that they absolutely pulled it off!!! When I arrived, I blended in a a guest at the hotel while Lianne and Adam greeted the guests to the party.
Once everyone arrived, the DJ announced the news, and our couple disappeared through to their hotel room to change from their party clothes into their wedding attire. Their little girl Ayla was their gorgeous flower girl and was already in her dress and continued to party until mum and dad were ready.
The DJ announced the bride and groom and as they made their big entrance to a loud cheer, I grabbed a mic and followed them onto the stage. Here’s Adam and Lianne’s love story journey taken direct from their wedding day ceremony script.
The Love Story
“In 2009 Adam’s best friend Alex, who is here tonight, and Lianne’s friend Courtney met at college and decided to set our couple up on a date. Adam was very shy and didn’t say very much that night, but they did text back and forward for a while after. Adam texted Lianne a lot more than she did him though!
Two years later in 2011, they would meet again at a party, but this time they realised that they had always been ‘almost’ sweethearts and decided to make their relationship official and become boyfriend and girlfriend. They officially dated for another couple of years and in 2013, they decided that it was time for them to take the next big step in their relationship, and Lianne moved into Adam’s flat with him.
The Proposal
The next big step in our couple’s relationship would be in 2016. Lianne and Adam decided to go for a day out to the Winter Wonderland in Edinburgh. They met up with friends Ritchie and Danielle and Lianne suddenly felt a little underdressed when they turned up ready for a night out and she was wearing a Christmas jumper!
After a look around the stalls, a few drinks and a bite to eat, they all stood in line to go up on the big wheel! When the wheel stopped at the top, there was a burst of flower petals as Adam pulled them from his pocket and threw them up in the air!
Adam popped the big special question, ‘Lianne, will you marry me?’
Lianne’s legs turned to jelly, and all she could think was… I’m getting engaged looking like a right numpty, wearing a Christmas jumper! It was so magical and it was like the stars all aligned in that very moment, and of course she said YES!!!
Now she realised why her friends were perhaps more overdressed than she expected!! Excitedly they all headed out to celebrate Lianne and Adam’s engagement!
Since then Lianne and Adam saved hard to afford their first mortgage and home together and achieved it.
They experienced the sheer joy when they found out that they were expecting their first baby, and their hearts were full when they welcomed their baby girl Ayla into the world 9 months later.
The Future
Through everything, our couple’s love and support for each other has been unwavering. They demonstrate the strength of their relationship tonight as they come together as a married couple, along with the lengths they’ll both go to keep a secret – even from their parents!!
I think it’s clear that Lianne and Adam have come to understand, love and respect each other.”
