Anne Widdop, Celebrant & Founding Director
“I love what I do… meeting people and working with them to create a ceremony reflecting who they are and delighting their guests. My motivation is to help you to bring your family and friends together to celebrate a life event”.
As the founding director, Anne is very busy running the Fuze but she is always happy to consider requests for Ceremonies in Skye, Lochaber and the Hebrides.
Anne has been conducting ceremonies since 2006. She is happy to conduct ceremonies in any location but as an outdoor enthusiast, she is delighted to travel to more adventurous locations: remote beaches, islands in the Hebrides, top of a mountains … nothing is too much for Anne.
Anne left her job as a Global Director of a world-wide IT company and decided to take a new direction by establishing Fuze Ceremonies.
Anne lives in Arisaig and is more than happy to talk to you about your thoughts on your big day. She also conducts Funeral Ceremonies, writes speeches, speaks in public, MC’s at events and develops new services for Fuze.
She first became a funeral celebrant after giving a tribute at her mum’s funeral. She said “We’ve had a lot of heartbreak in our family and when my brother, my sister and my dad died I felt short-changed by all of their ceremonies. Little was said about them and I was left feeling sad and angry. So I wrote and read a 20 minute tribute to my mum, it was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but I am so happy I did”
