Chriss has had many years’ experience of helping to make special days successful. In her business career as a PA and Girl Friday she was used to organising major business and entertainment events. Subsequently she helped her husband to build a successful Financial Advice company.
In a long performing career Chriss has performed in the UK, USA, Italy, Israel and other parts of Europe. Indeed she has even performed in Greenock.
For a number of years Chriss along with her now retired musical partner Irene McLennan performed for The Council For Music in Hospitals as ‘Mac and Mills’. This experience taught her a great deal about handling difficult emotional situations as she and Irene regularly performed in Hospitals, Hospices, Nursing Homes and Special Needs Units.
For most of her performing life she has also had a passion for learning and after gaining a BA Honours degree when she was 50, she then went on to teach Musical Theatre in the West of Scotland, becoming a Master Teacher in The Estill Voice Technique, a system of voice utilisation used by many household names in the singing world.
She became interested in Humanist Weddings and Humanist Funeral Ceremonies after attending several of each type of ceremony, she realised the importance of capturing the thoughts, wishes and memories of those participating. Something which was sometimes missing.
It is perhaps a natural progression that she has recently become a Fuze Celebrant, lending her knowledge of the voice and her listening skills to conducting Ceremonies on behalf of Fuze, hopefully ensuring that nothing is missing.
She splits her time between Scotland and Marbella in the South of Spain and is available to perform ceremonies in both locations (although not at the same time)
