Phyl Wright, Celebrant
“I became a Humanist Celebrant because I care about people, and wished to use my skills to provide a beautiful and individual experience”.
Phyl’s background is in administration and teacher of Creative Writing and she is an Author who has had three books published, along with poetry and articles.
Having taught creative writing classes and tutored in English, Phyl knows how important it is to find the right words to deliver the best ceremony possible.
She has also previously worked as a Counsellor for six years and can demonstrate empathy and understanding to connect and come together with those concerned at such times, in order to provide a uniquely personal ceremony for those most important and special occasions.
Phyl became a Humanist Celebrant because she cares about people, and wished to use her skills to provide a beautiful and individual experience; to be part of providing something memorable, distinctive and moving, during some of the major landmarks in people’s lives.
She is conscious of what an honour and responsibility it is to be allowed to share such occasions and will endeavour to reflect the wishes and desires of everyone concerned.
At no extra cost, Phyl is happy to undertake to write a personal poem specifically for each occasion, which can form part of the service or be kept as a memento.
Phyl is based in Glasgow and is happy to cover Ayrshire (North, South and East), Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, East and West Dunbartonshire, Stirling-shire, North and South Lanarkshire and the Greater Glasgow area.
Here is some lovely feed back about Phyl and a recent ceremony she conducted:_
“I would just like to say thank you so much for recommending Phyl for the vow renewal I was organising for a family member of mine. Phyl made the day a very special one by really listening to everything I told her about the couple. I couldn’t have asked for a more kind thoughtful person. Thank you so much” – Debbie
