our mission

be gone
boring ceremonies!

Too often, ceremonies are delivered in the same tone, by the same sort of officiant, using the same tired script and then they simply skim over the most important element of the ceremony – the individual(s) at the heart of it. We offer 100% one-of-a-kind ceremony scripts, spun by sensational Celebrants that completely reflect the client. The reason we can offer this is because our team has invested time, effort and passed exams to become a qualified Celebrant. They have all trained with the SQA accredited UK Celebrant and Public Speaking Academy.

the fuze foundation

The not-for-profit Fuze Foundation was established in 2012, dedicated to making a positive impact on charitable organisations.  In addition to this, it is committed to tackling the growing epidemic of funeral poverty head on, having provided hundreds of funeral ceremonies free of charge for financially stretched families.  The Foundation also offers not-for-profit Legal Humanist Marriages in Scotland and campaigns for equality, diversity and social justice.

our purpose

Fuze has two key purposes – Promoting our Celebrant Services and offering not-for-profit Ceremonies via The Fuze Foundation. Fuze are redefining what society has come to expect from ceremonies by only providing Celebrants who have trained to a high standard, enabling them to create and deliver a one-of-a-kind script that tells your stories in a way that truly represents who you are. Our motto ‘Your Day, Your Way’ encapsulates everything we believe a ceremony should be and the joy of having a ceremony is that it truly can be anything you want it to be.

who are we?

Established back in 2011 by founder, Anne Widdop, Fuze Ceremonies is the result of the experience, knowledge and passion of both Anne and Morag Webster.  Since then Anne and Morag have worked their socks off, setting the bar on how Celebrants should be trained and managed and how Ceremonies should be scripted and conducted.  They bring much needed professionalism and industry standards to an unregulated market place.

germination

In 2009, Anne and husband, Peter, enjoyed a wonderful Humanist wedding ceremony and this experience prompted Anne to train with the Humanist Society of Scotland as a Celebrant. Throughout her time with the Humanist Society, Anne conducted hundreds of ceremonies, but she quickly realised that she’d like to do things differently.

full bloom

In 2011, Anne made the brave decision to set up Fuze Ceremonies. In March 2012 she quit her job as Global Director of an International IT company and the first Fuze wedding ceremony followed in Inverary. With bookings coming in thick and fast, Anne needed somebody reliable by her side. Enter Morag, who was working as an established interior designer, and from that moment onwards, neither Anne’s nor Morag’s feet have touched the ground.

In 2019, Anne and Morag knew they needed someone with the right experience to help manage the ever-growing organisation and were delighted to welcome Laura Widdop into the Fuze family as Managing Director.

Anne’s corporate background, combined with Morag’s business acumen and creative flair, in addition to Laura’s dynamic management experience, creates a powerhouse trio that actively leads, coaches, and develops high-performing teams, driving success and innovation at every turn.  They bring the perfect fusion of skills and experience to the table and it’s one of the reasons Fuze Ceremonies has become one of the leading Ceremony providers.
