The Fuze Foundation | Supporting Humanism in Scotland

The Fuze Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation and a recognised legal belief body dedicated to promoting Humanist values across Scotland.

Founded in 2012, our mission is to ensure everyone has access to personalised and dignified ceremonies.

As a registered belief body, we oversee the authorisation of our Humanist Celebrants (Marriage Officers) under the Marriage (Scotland) Act, which allows us to provide legally binding Humanist wedding ceremonies throughout Scotland.

We do not profit from these ceremonies; instead, every wedding conducted by a Fuze Celebrant helps fund our charitable work.

    • To Support Life-Changing Causes: We provide financial aid to other Scottish charities that align with our values of compassion and equality.

Who we support

 

  • Individuals and Families: Those struggling to afford a Funeral ceremony due to financial crisis.
  • Couples in Need: We provide free or subsidised legal marriage ceremonies for those facing exceptional hardship.
  • Scottish Charities: We support vital causes voted for by our members, funded by a portion of every marriage fee we receive.
Support may include free or reduced-cost Celebrant services, guidance, or referrals to trusted partner organisations like Caledonian Funeral Aid, and Funeral Link Dundee.
