Susan's background is travel, and was fortunate enough to work onboard cruise ships in the entertainment department. During this time, Susan came into contact with many couples getting married onboard which she found a delight. It was an amazing time meeting people from all walks of life, before settling in her beloved Scotland.
Susan became a Humanist Celebrant as her own wedding was a Humanist service, and in the build up to their wedding and speaking with their celebrant closely, Susan loved how personal the whole experience was. So many of our guests commented on how personal the service was, and how it really captured them as individuals and as a couple. It was this experience and having attended other Humanist weddings, which made Susan interested in finding out more about Humanism, she really felt a connection to it, and also how much she would love to have the privilege to be part of a couple’s day - training to become a Humanist Celebrant was the natural thing to do. Susan loves a blether, and one of her favourite parts of being a celebrant is meeting couples and families from all walks of life, learning about their story and joining them on their journey to becoming a married couple, or having the honour of telling their life story.

"Susan Krenbrenk conducted our Marriage on 30/07/22 and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! On our first meeting Susan was so lovely & relaxed the exact vibe we were going for with our day we knew instantly we had made the right choice. She had our script over to us very quickly & it was perfect. On the day Susan helped us both feel at ease and I know looking back at our photos I will be so glad to see her there with us on the day. We have had so many comments from friends & family about the ceremony already and how lovely & funny it was. Thank you so much Susan, you were everything we were looking for in a humanist & more we were so glad to share our day with you!" -Stacey
"If we could give more than a 5 star review for Susan at Fuze then we absolutely would! From initial contact right through to after our wedding, Susan was a dream to work with; she made the whole process simple and the ceremony exactly what we'd hoped for. From the very beginning conversations with Susan she completely understood the vibe we were going for with our ceremony. We talked her through the aspects of our relationship we wanted to include, and she talked us through all the humanist options we could include and what each one meant and symbolised. The ceremony she wrote for us was the perfect measure of heartfelt and funny. Not only is Susan great for all of the above, we got married on an island and Susan was more than happy to literally 'get on board' with speedboat trips to the island, and to stay and join in our picnic on the beach afterwards. We can't thank her enough and it just felt like she was another guest! It was a total pleasure to have Susan conduct our ceremony and we would recommend her to anyone." -Shona & Philip
"We cannot recommend Susan Krenbrenk highly enough! From the first zoom call we found out we had so much in common and we knew Susan was the celebrant for us! She told our story in the most perfect way and helped us with ideas to add to the ceremony. She even added a few personal puns to the script which we loved and made the ceremony light hearted. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our special day. We are very grateful for Susan’s expertise in the run up to our big day - she was even keeping in touch whilst on her holiday!!" -Emma
"What a fantastic experience! We had no prior experience of a humanistic ceremony but being older in age, we wanted a non-religious ceremony that would be personal and light hearted (not stuffy) that we could share with our families. Fuze Ceremonies did not disappoint! Susan, our celebrant, helped make our day perfect. Beforehand, Susan spent a lot of time listening to our life story and understood us as a couple. She guided us thru the process and how the ceremony would unfold. On the day itself, we are delighted to say, Susan delivered a ceremony that was relaxed, enjoyable, and personal whilst remaining very professional - we cannot thank Susan or Fuze Ceremonies enough for what they gave us on our special day. Thank you!" -Martin

"Susan conducted our wedding ceremony at Harelaw Farm on Saturday 14 July 2018. She did an excellent job. Many of our guests commented on how personal, emotional and fun our ceremony was. The whole process with Susan was relaxed and easy - just the way we wanted it. When we met Susan we warmed to her instantly. We met a second time before Susan drafted our ceremony. We were impressed by how accommodating Susan was in terms of the time she offered to make sure everything was perfect. We were also impressed by and grateful for Susan’s regular reminders about the important legal stuff to make sure the marriage went without a hitch. We would definitely recommend Susan to anyone looking to tie the knot!"-Alistair McGarvey
