On the 17th of May this year, I packed up my little wedding kit bag and headed off to North Berwick. Although a bit of a trek, it was a pleasant enough day and I enjoyed the drive.
When I arrived at my destination for the day, I was immediately blown away by the stunning venue. Those looking to tie the knot in Scotland are very lucky there are so many unique wedding venues on offer, Archerfield House is definitely one of those!
Archerfield House boasts 15 luxuriously decorated double bedrooms all with extensive en-suite bathrooms, a stunning principal room, rotunda and snooker room where you can relax after dinner, served in the dining room. The breath-taking scenery around the house is matched by the stunning interior and attention to detail.
The couple I had the pleasure of marrying were an absolute delight to work with, and the intimate and emotional ceremony was a genuinely relaxed and happy affair. Everything ran like clockwork, without any hiccups and I could tell that the couple were in good hands for the rest of their day.
I felt welcomed by the staff team, enjoyed some fresh coffee and home baking beforehand and was even given a guided tour of the house. I must admit that when the ceremony was over, I was very reluctant to leave and I’m looking forward to my next visit, and some more of that lovely hospitality. The adjoining golf course, Lodges, Boat House and Pavilion rooms are just as impressive and I would be happy to spend a weekend (or more!) relaxing in the quiet opulence of Archerfield Links.
If you are looking for a truly elegant and stunning venue in the Edinburgh area then I highly recommend you take a look at their website.
