Julie-Anne Kinnear

Julie-Anne Kinnear

Julie-Anne is available to conduct Weddings, Civil Partnerships, Vow Renewals & Funeral Ceremonies.

Whether a love-story or life-story, Julie-Anne will listen to you and work with you to create your unique ceremony. As a Humanist Celebrant she will guide and support you when exploring specifics such as personalised vows, how you want your love-story or the life-story of a loved one to be shared, the music, poetry or readings you want to include, how you want to involve others (people or pets!) in the ceremony, inclusion of symbolic gestures and any other quirks or details to make your ceremony personal and meaningful.

Reflecting the values of Humanism, Julie-Anne embraces life wholeheartedly, believing this helps us to mark and celebrate the important stages from birth to death with vim, vigour and vitality. Whilst her ceremonies are appropriately dignified and respectful of the nature of the circumstances, they are never dull or dark – they have energy, light, emotion and where appropriate incorporate laughter and joy.

Julie-Anne moved from Belfast to Scotland aged 20. She has met lots of diverse and interesting people on her journey, all of whom have enriched her life one way or another. This quote from Dolly Parton sums up her outlook on life - “Dream more, learn more, care more and be more”.

Anna Gilchrist

Anna Gilchrist

Anna is available to conduct Weddings, Civil Partnerships, Vow Renewals, Baby Naming & Funeral Ceremonies.

Anna believes it is a tremendous honour to be present at people's most significant moments. When asked what she loves most about being a Celebrant, she says: 'I love listening to people's stories, learning about their lives, and discovering what brought them to this moment in time. Using these details to craft a personalised ceremony that reflects the individuality of each person is my favourite thing to do.'

Anna has had a diverse career, encompassing various roles in administration, systems management, procurement and project management. She was particularly adept at customer service and prided herself on going the extra mile to ensure client satisfaction. As a child, Anna always knew she wanted to work in an office, but after spending 19 years cooped up in one, she yearned to get out and interact with people. This desire led her to pursue a career as a Celebrant, where she could celebrate the joys and milestones of others' lives.

When she isn’t working on a ceremony or shuttling her two children between school and extracurricular activities, Anna enjoys spending time in nature and solving jigsaw puzzles. She loves a turn on the floor as a tap dancer, which is where her love of performance comes from.

Anna is based near Edinburgh and covers Edinburgh & Lothian.

Morna Kidd

Morna Kidd

Morna is available to conduct Wedding, Civil Partnership, Vow Renewal & Funeral Ceremonies.

Working in marketing within the financial services industry, Morna knows the importance of being able to tell a story, honestly, with creativity, accuracy and attention to detail.

The idea of becoming a humanist celebrant first crossed Morna’s mind after she wrote and delivered a poem at a friend’s daughters naming day in 2014. A few of the guests asked if she’d ever considered becoming a celebrant. The seed was planted, “and the rest” as they say was history.

Morna says “Choosing to enquire with Fuze was the best thing I ever did. From initial contact through training, and being accepted to join the team, it was made clear that the celebrants at Fuze are less “colleagues” and more family. It’s less of a job and more of a way of life. Always there to help and guide one another. Striving for the best for every couple and family. A team like no other.”

Anyone who knows Morna will say, she’s a passionate story teller, relaying the facts in a way that brings them to life. Making those hearing the story for the first time feel like they were there. With a keen eye for detail, and the ability to bring a light hearted humorous side to your day, her goal is to bring your vision to life.

And she’s happy to do as much or as little as you wish, whether you have no idea where to start, or you have a very specific vision of how your day will go, Morna’s job is to be there for you. Her motto is “your day, your way”. No matter the story, Morna wants to hear all about what makes yours special and turn it into a story to be told.

Morna is based in Glasgow and covers East Renfrewshire & Renfrewshire, Glasgow City & East /West Dunbartonshire and North & South Lanarkshire.

Amy Shipway

Amy Shipway

““Telling people’s stories, whether in a celebration of life, or a celebration of love is something which I take great care and pride in. Every person, whether they lived a small or a big life has a unique story to tell, and getting to tell those stories is the greatest privilege of being a Humanist Celebrant.”

Amy is available to conduct Weddings, Civil Partnerships, Vow Renewals, Baby Naming Ceremonies and Funerals.

It all started with… a funeral! When the phone rang unexpectedly one day to tell Amy her beloved aunt had died, she never expected it could have led to a change of career.

Delivering her aunt’s eulogy was a profound experience for Amy as she realised how much a truly personal funeral ceremony can help families in the grieving process. Since that day she has been the ‘go-to’ for all family and friends’ celebrations and life events: from wedding speeches to eulogies, Amy has spent over a decade putting her love of writing and public speaking skill to great use, so it felt like a natural progression to train as a Humanist Celebrant.

Amy is an active person with bundles of energy and a passion for living life to the fullest. She has lived in many corners of the world and even once ran away with the circus! Thankfully that didn’t last long and she returned to Glasgow to gain a degree in Scottish Literature, before moving on to grow and run several businesses, specialising in fitness, events and marketing; meaning she is an incredibly well organised person! She now co-owns an alternative fitness studio in the Southside of Glasgow, so when she isn’t preparing ceremonies, she can be found stretching on the yoga mat, swinging on the aerial hoop or scaling the Scottish mountains with her partner.

Amy is based in Glasgow and covers East Renfrewshire & Renfrewshire, Glasgow City & East /West Dunbartonshire and North & South Lanarkshire. You can contact Amy on amyshipway@fuzeceremonies.co.uk or you can see more of Amy on Facebook and Instagram
