On Tuesday 25th February two of our directors attended the 2014 Scottish Wedding Awards at the Crowne Plaza, Glasgow. We were over the moon when we got the call telling us that we had been nominated in the wedding planner-coordinator category for the North West region of Scotland.
The Scottish Wedding Awards, hosted by Creative Oceanic is an evening dedicated to recognising and rewarding the excellent service provided by the many businesses within the Scottish wedding industry. The best thing about these awards is that businesses are nominated solely by their customers. Nominations are taken online and it allows customers to say thank you in a big way.
Gina Mckie, Scottish radio personality was our host for the evening. We did our best to get ‘#scottishweddingawards’ trending and when we tweeted Gina she kindly gave us a shout out at the awards! We tweeted, retweeted, favourited and followed lots of new Scottish wedding businesses too. As we all know the wedding industry is not your average 9-5 so getting everyone together under one roof at the same time isn’t easy. It was a great opportunity to meet lots of local suppliers that we had heard of and seen their work but never met them in person. We’ve definitely made some new friends and have got some exciting opportunities ahead.
We had some great company at our table whilst enjoying dinner and drinks. The excitement in the room was building and it felt like forever before our category finally came up. We were nominated alongside Angela Stewart who has created and delivered some fantastic events over the years. Angela took home the gold on the evening for the second year running. For us it was just the Finalist Badge we got this year but as a company only in it’s second year we are just delighted with that.
The Fuze Foundation is proud to support many Humanitarian causes and with the help of all the other businesses in attendance on the evening as well as Creative Oceanic there was 1600 raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.Overall, the night was a huge success and feel honoured to have been a part of it.
We have a fantastic team at Fuze- a team that is ever growing! Our celebrants do an amazing job delivering highly personal Humanist marriage ceremonies and each of our weddings is completely unique. We love what we do and with our nomination we now know that our customers feel the same too!
