Our Charity Partners for 2025-2026: Strengthening Commitment to Scottish Communities

14th February 2025 – This Valentine’s Day, the Fuze Foundation is celebrating love in action by reaffirming its commitment to supporting vital Scottish charities. Following a vote by our members, we are delighted to announce our charity partners for March 2025 to February 2026: MND Scotland and Beatson Cancer Charity. These partnerships will help us continue making a meaningful impact in communities across Scotland.

For years, the Fuze Foundation has been dedicated to raising awareness, supporting those in need, and contributing thousands of pounds to Scottish charities. Through our work, we have championed initiatives such as tackling funeral poverty and providing ceremonies at no cost for those facing hardship. Every couple who chooses to be married by Fuze Ceremonies and The Fuze Foundation plays a role in this mission, as a portion of their wedding fee is donated to support these causes.

With a combination of wedding ceremony fee donations and team fundraising efforts, we are on track to raise an estimated £11,000 over the next 12 months for our chosen charities.

Welcoming MND Scotland as a New Charity Partner

We are honoured to welcome MND Scotland as a new charity partner for the next 12 months. As Scotland’s leading charity dedicated to supporting people affected by motor neurone disease, MND Scotland provides essential services, funds pioneering research, and advocates for those impacted by this devastating condition.

Lynne Wiseman, Fundraising Lead for MND Scotland, said:
“We are incredibly grateful for the new partnership with The Fuze Foundation and Fuze Ceremonies and to have been selected as one of their charity partners for 2025. There are around 450 people in Scotland currently living with MND, and on average, almost 200 people are diagnosed each year in Scotland. MND Scotland is the only charity in Scotland dedicated to directly supporting people with MND, and we are funded entirely by donations and grants. For over forty years, we have provided practical, financial, and emotional support to anyone affected by MND whilst also funding essential research into effective treatments and a cure.

The Fuze Foundation’s commitment to donating a percentage of proceeds from all legal wedding ceremonies to MND Scotland will make a significant impact in making time count for families affected by MND. This new partnership will help us continue to provide vital support services to families, honour the memories of loved ones, and celebrate special milestones. Together, we will work towards our vision of a world without MND.”

Continuing Our Partnership with Beatson Cancer Charity

We are equally thrilled to confirm that Beatson Cancer Charity will remain one of our charity partners for the third consecutive year. Beatson Cancer Charity plays a vital role in improving cancer care across Scotland, providing essential treatment, support, and wellbeing services to individuals and their families during one of the most challenging times of their lives.

Charlene Low, Regional Fundraising Manager at Beatson Cancer Charity, said:
“The team at Fuze ceremonies have been huge champions of Beatson Cancer Charity over the last two years and we are delighted to hear that the team are looking to support Beatson Cancer Charity for a third year as their charity partner.  The involvement from the team has just been incredible and they never shy away from any challenges and events. By raising awareness and generously donating a portion of their humanist wedding celebrant service fees, they are making a real and meaningful impact.”

A Continued Commitment to Compassion & Community

The Fuze Foundation was established to support causes that reflect our core values of compassion, inclusivity, and community. Our annual charity partnership selection process, guided by an annual team vote, ensures that we continue to direct our efforts where they are most needed. Through fundraising initiatives, awareness campaigns, and the dedication of our celebrants and supporters, we remain committed to making a real difference.

Morag Webster, Chair of The Fuze Foundation, shared:
“Announcing our new charity partnerships on Valentine’s Day is a fitting reminder of the compassion and dedication at the heart of everything we do. We are absolutely delighted to continue supporting Beatson Cancer Charity and to welcome MND Scotland into our Fuze family. These organisations provide vital services to people in need, and we are honoured to contribute to their incredible work.

Our commitment goes beyond financial support; we believe in fostering collaboration, raising awareness, and making a lasting impact. Through education, fundraising, and knowledge-sharing, we aim to empower individuals and families while championing causes that align with our values. Supporting these remarkable Scottish charities is a privilege, and we are incredibly proud of the difference we can make together.”

Morag added: “Since our establishment in 2012, our not-for-profit Humanist organisation, based in Scotland, has been driven by our five key purposes, supported by our team of over 70 professional Celebrants who conduct legal Humanist wedding, funeral, and naming ceremonies across Scotland. Our charity partnerships are a fundamental part of our mission, helping us to extend our reach and support those who need it most.”

Looking Ahead

We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to working alongside MND Scotland and Beatson Cancer Charity to create a positive and lasting impact. We invite our celebrants, couples, and supporters to join us in fundraising, raising awareness, and championing these important causes.

Together, we are making a difference—one ceremony, one donation, and one act of kindness at a time.
