Baby Naming Ceremonies

Baby Naming2019-11-08T09:08:40+00:00

Welcoming a baby into your life is the most overwhelming, amazing, joyful and lets face it, terrifying, experience a person will ever have, but once the dust settles and new parents begin to find their feet, it’s time to CELEBRATE the safe arrival of this new little person!

If you, like over half of the British population, decide that a religious ceremony or traditional christening is not for you, then you might consider a naming ceremony to formally welcome your child into the world.

Our team of experienced and professional Celebrants cover the length and breadth of Scotland and have passed disclosure checks, are fully qualified, insured, licensed and are trained to deliver outstanding ceremonies, which are as unique and wonderful as your new little bundle.

Your chosen Celebrant will:

  • Arrange a meeting to get to know you and bambino [if he/she has arrived]
  • Assist by advising on how to create the right mood on the day
  • Help you choose poetry, readings, music and/or symbolic gestures
  • Create a beautiful bespoke ceremony script
  • Conduct the ceremony and assist with any other components on the big day

Families have complete freedom over the content of their baby naming ceremony and we take pride in being able to accommodate all reasonable wishes.

Morag Webster

Fuze provided us with the most wonderful, fantastic, and loveliest celebrant that we could ever have chosen. He made everything so personal, calm and fun! He was our calm in the storm, keeping us calm during the ceremony, and lightening the mood with some laughter, an amazing person inside and out! Would recommend 100x over.

Duncan Fleming

Duncan Fleming - Wedding, Baby Naming & Funeral Celebrant "I love meeting new people and using their stories to create unique and meaningful ceremonies". After working in the public sector for over 20 years, Duncan started his own business, but it was after attending various Humanist ceremonies that he decide this was the career path he wished to take. Duncan is very much a family man and loves cooking a barbecue or Sunday lunch for his nearest and dearest.  He and his wife have a large circle of friends and enjoy meeting up with them for a get together. Being an avid rugby  fan, Duncan can often be found at Murrayfield watching the Scottish rugby team in action.  Over the years, Duncan has travelled to Europe extensively and has visited many beautiful spots, but saves a bit of time to discover our own fabulous country with his favourite places being the Trossachs and Fort Augustus along with the magnificent north east coast with its glorious long sandy beaches.
