Fuze celebrate £4650 of ‘give back’

On the 14th Feb this year we announced our three charity partners for 2022 as Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), Scottish Association of Mental Health (SAMH) and Scottish Cot Death Trust.

Couples who choose to be married by Fuze are supporting this ongoing work as a portion of their fee is donated to our good causes. In addition some of our celebrant team have been fundraising by taking on the Glasgow Kilt Walk and 3000 Squats in April challenge.

This incredible effort has led to an amazing combined total ‘give back’ of £4650. Morag Webster, Trustee of The Fuze Foundation and George McLean, Fuze Brand Ambassador met with representatives from the charities and revealed their individual give back amounts.

CHAS Trust Fundraiser Rebecca Addison explained; “CHAS greatly appreciate the continued support of The Fuze Foundation as it helps us to ensure that no family faces the death of their child alone. Here at CHAS, we have been supporting families across Scotland for thirty years and we feel honoured that The Fuze Foundations is sharing its tenth year of giving with us. Many thanks, and keep up your amazing work”.

SAMH Community and Events Fundraiser Chloe Watson commented; “SAMH is so grateful to The Fuze Foundation for their wonderful donation as part of their commitment to “give back” through 2022. As well as donating proceeds from the foundation, Fuze celebrants have supported SAMH in taking part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk, raising awareness and additional funds to reach that fantastic total. We would like to thank The Fuze Foundation and their celebrants for their continued support and passion for supporting Scotland’s mental health.”

Scottish Cot Death Trust Fundraising & Communications Officer said; “A huge thanks to everyone at Fuze for their incredible efforts over the past 3 months. Our partnership is only in its infancy, but we’re delighted that the Scottish Cot Death Trust and Fuze are already reaping the benefits. We are so grateful to Fuze for raising a phenomenal total of £1,775. These funds could help pay for 32 of our home support visits from our dedicated bereavement professionals across Scotland. The awareness of the Scottish Cot Death Trust has also improved significantly. After we featured news of the Fuze partnership on our social media, our website had around 20 times more visits than the daily average!  It’s a privilege that the charity will continue to receive donations received from every wedding ceremony that Fuze conduct.”

Morag Webster, Trustee of The Fuze Foundation added“Here at The Fuze Foundation we are delighted to have been able to give back an amazing amount of funds to our three charities in the first quarter. We are learning a lot about each charity and our support extends beyond financial, which we plan to build on further. We really look forward to helping and collaborating as the year progresses.”
