Our 1st Quarter ‘give back’

Morag Webster and George McLean met with representatives from both our charity partners and revealed their individual give back amounts. The Fuze Foundation donated £800 to each charity in Quarter 1 (donated from legal humanist wedding ceremony fees), with additional fundraising of £914 by Fuze Celebrant Julie Murray, and £338 by Fuze Celebrant Sam Conroy. A huge thanks to both of them (both totals are inclusive of Gift Aid).

On the 14th Feb 2025 we announced our two charity partners for 2025, for the second successive year, as Beatson Cancer Charity and MND Scotland. Couples who choose to be married by Fuze are supporting this ongoing work as a portion of each legal humanist wedding fee is donated to our good causes.

Charlene Low, Regional Fundraising Manager, Beatson Cancer Charity explained: “We appreciate the support of Fuze Ceremonies and the concept of donating a percentage of their celebrant fee to Beatson Cancer Charity is just wonderful.  This support allows us to continue to support patients and their families facing cancer.  Thank you team Fuze for being a part of Team Beatson”.

Lynne Wiseman, Fundraising Lead at MND Scotland, said: “We are incredibly thankful to The Fuze Foundation and Fuze Ceremonies for their generous total of £2,072 (Inclusive of Gift Aid) raised in the last three months and for their ongoing commitment to supporting families affected by motor neuron disease. Currently, around 450 people in Scotland are living with MND, and nearly 200 people are diagnosed each year. The average life expectancy for someone diagnosed with MND is just 18 months, and there is no cure or meaningful treatments available. With support from Fuze, we can continue to work towards our vision of a world without motor neuron disease”.

Morag Webster, Chair of The Fuze Foundation, shared;
“We are thrilled to announce our latest donation total of £2,872 for two incredible causes, MND Scotland and Beatson Cancer Charity. This contribution reflects the ongoing generosity of our Fuze Ceremonies couples, who choose to support our Foundation with each booking, and the dedication of our celebrant team’s additional fundraising activities. A huge thank you to everyone who continues to play a part in our journey of giving back. We’re proud to stand side by side with both charities and look forward to what the next quarter brings.”
